      If I had all of the parts on hand. I would say it would take about a solid week and a half. A lot of time was wasted doing research and waiting for parts to come in. I also was working on it during snowmobile season. So there was about 5 weekends that the car had sat over the winter.

    I’ve had one of these since 2020 and have used it on both a JLU and JT. Perfect on the JLU til I got it on the JT and then it started “losing stars.” Rear door corners both leak like a sieve onto the door cards and seats under braking… went to tighten the corners down with just the Jeep torx kit and pulled the nut straight through the plastic retainer into the sport bar… had to then fish the nut out and place a washer above the deck assembly so I could reinstall the nut. The corners are tight as a drum but now above 30mph the top flutters.. “punch!….punch!….punch!” while I’m going down the road… accompanied by a mystery squeak. So unless it’s dry outside and the top is down, it’s kind of annoying now. Still worth the $600 I initially paid for it due to the open air experience I get 8 months out of the year, and has otherwise held up very well.

    You could have detached the house that goes to filter off of it and attach the draining hose right to the OUT port on the pump.Then the pump would run and suck the water way faster.

    Wrong, wrong, wrong. You said that the bottom that has only a slight bevel on the leading edge, was the top. When the actual top requires a much sharper bevel because it slopes down towards the piston face. So you got it backwards. You failed to give any instructions for removing the oil and carbon from the blade. A 3M circular fiberglass disc for paint removal, that inserts into a drill form Ace Hardware, will remove the carbon with help from a brake cleaner. Wrong, wrong, wrong. You failed to remove the nut above the bellows and inspect for disintegration of the vinyl bellows, because it disintegrates in the clamped area. You also failed to inspect the impact shoulder on the shaft of the blade. It gets flattened when it impacts the cylinder head stops and necessitates replacement. You also failed to inspect the extreme tips of the blade and the piston wall, for impact damage from when the blade shoulders become flattened and did not stop the blade soon enough before the blade impacts the piston wall. You should redue this entire video.

    I thought that in order to make this work you would need a CAT in the exhaust system with O2 sensors on either side. How did you address that? Did the harness kit eliminate a set of sensors?

    • @StreetersGarage
      @StreetersGarage 16 дней назад

      Yes. The normal swap will remove the rear O2 sensors. You only need the fronts for the ECU to know the air fuel ratio. The rears are only there for the functionality of the catalytic converter.

  • @madrabbit9007
    @madrabbit9007 16 дней назад

    As I'm watching this, I couldn't help but think this would have been a good time to replace that rear main seal. I had to have mine replaced in my 04 Avalanche and because I lacked the tools and equipment to do it myself I had to pay a guy to do it. With over 100k miles, it would have been cheap insurance.

    • @StreetersGarage
      @StreetersGarage 16 дней назад

    There's 2 adjustments you can make on the transmission. The quick easy free one is, get a tiny flat head screwdriver and turn the screw in 3 full turns on the vacuum modulator of the trans.(where vacuum line connects) It'll firm up the shifts and make it delay a little longer before it up shifts. The other is the governor weights but, that's a pita. Adjust the modulator. If you're happy with the first adjustment, stay there if you want it firmer and later turn in 2 more full turns. Never turn counter clockwise from the initial setting, you can damage the trans. Lemme know how it goes!

    Awesome job and video series, It's gonna help alot of people ! Sooo many guys are like ,"it costs sooo much to LS swap" I'd say you've proven them wrong ! I'll be swapping my C3 as well, for ALL the reasons you stated, we drive the car alot ! I'm about 2.5hrs from you so, we have the same weather, lol

      Absolutely. Once you figure in the exhaust, fuel pump, and the radiator. I’m still way below on what a 383 or something similar would have cost and have a better understanding on how everything on the car works now.

    Good series. I'll be watching parts again in a year or two when I swap mine.
